Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory

Faculty Positions in Neuroscience

Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory is seeking outstanding candidates to fill three faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level in Systems Neuroscience and Computational Neuroscience. The new faculty members will join a thriving and highly interactive group of over a dozen neuroscience faculty who apply behavioral, computational, systems, cellular and molecular analyses to understand brain function.

Two positions are available for Systems Neuroscientists working in rodents or other small animals. Ideal candidates will use some combination of existing and novel electrophysiological, optical, molecular and behavioral approaches to

address questions about neural representations and circuitry underlying sensory processing and behavior. One of these two positions is available for a candidate using rodent models to study human psychiatric disease. A third position is available in Computational Neuroscience.

Each successful applicant will be provided with a generous startup package, and will receive a faculty appointment in the Watson School of Biological Sciences. Additional information about CSHL and the Watson School can be obtained at www.cshl.edu.

Applicants should submit their curriculum vitae, a brief description of research interests and career goals, and arrange for 3 letters of reference to be sent by May 1, 2006 to:

Neurojobs@cshl.edu

In your cover letter, please specify which job(s) you are applying for. Electronic applications are preferred. Other questions should be directed to Susan Pagano, CSHL, 1 Bungtown Rd, Cold Spring Harbor, NY, 11724.
